Hotels in Bangkok Thailand
Western Tourists can fail in finding a cheap hotel in Bangkok. Ideas basic standards of accommodation vary depending on where you come from. Hettie Houston Hiram and may be hoping to have better facilities in Hanoi – or even Henry and Anne of Harrogate (United Kingdom). Let me guide. To be sure the room western-style luxury in one of the many familiar Western chains. The only problem is that it can be very expensive. And let’s face it, stay at a Hilton or Marriott in Bangkok and could also be in New York, London or Cairo.
You want to stay in Bangkok, right? The good news is that there are plenty of independent hotels in Bangkok that offer reasonable standards of accommodation at bargain prices, who needs a closet, after all? Hangers are the important part – right?
You’ll probably know that Bangkok is the capital and largest city of Thailand. In Thailand, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon calls (or Krung Thep for short, which means “City of Angels”). Bangkok has a population of over six million dollars. The predominant religion is Buddhism, practiced by all, but 5% of the population of the city. Most of the remainder are Muslim, with a scattering of the Christians. Bangkok is choc-a-block with temples and gardens, and (lest we forget) a thriving sex industry. One of the strengths of Bangkok is its fascinating mix of old Thai culture with western-style capitalism.
This is my personal choice of the best budget hotels (Bangkok):
New Siam River Side
21 Soi Phra Chanasongkram-A-Thit Road, Chanasongkram, Phranakorn, Bangkok 10200.
Here is a luxury guest house with excellent views, situated by the river Chaophaya, near the Grand Palace. With air conditioning, a café, a decent restaurant and a large swimming pool. As in most good hotels in Thailand, the beds are foam. Each room is equipped with bedside control, cable TV and refrigerator. High speed Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. All rooms are non smoking ..
Be careful when booking because the New River Side Siam has two “branches. Prices of rooms start at 1390 baht (single). A room air conditioning was not a fan of the other begins guesthouses to only 590 baht ($ 20).
Silom City Hotel
2 Soi Prachum (Silom 22), Silom Road, Bangkok 10500
Formerly known as Silom City Inn, this hotel is located in Bangkok’s financial center, close to all key commercial centers. Silom City just steps from the main nightlife and shopping areas, and Suan Lumpini Park, Bangkok railway terminal, and river. It has 70 rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, personal safe, PC connection, fax, music system at home, color satellite TV and private bathroom. The weekly rate starts advertising in 1,150 baht per night ($ 40) for a single room, but we are told that you can barter.
TakeANap
920-926 Rama4 Rd (exit Surawongse In front of the Red Cross), District Silom, Bangrak 10500,
The name is a beautifully TakeANap family-run hotel has its fanatical followers. There is a unique blend of double and dormitory beds from 350 baht per night ($ 12). Individuals come in about 1,000 baht (34 dollars). Ideal for backpackers, not so good for the business traveler or tourist families. The 30 single and double rooms are decorated with different themes, most of them designed to give you a headache after too much beer! TakeANap is very central, very near the sky train (BTS) and subway (MRT). TakeaNap is also close to the nightclubs, the city center and market area. Freaks cabinet must be aware that the rooms have furniture Sans his favorite, but with hangers and a railway. It will also be very fortunate to have a refrigerator,
Sivalai Place
168 Soi 33 rd Isaraphab Isaraphab Pra Yai Thra Bangkok 10600 Thailand Bangkok
This apartment offers great value for anyone on a budget. Their study smart range of apartments in the price of 1,450 baht per night (under $ 50) and double apartments are only 100 baht. Wait queen-size beds and private bathroom with shower panels equipped with six (count) massage jets. The facilities are better than average Bangkok, ranging from a karaoke lounge fully equipped with tennis, restaurants, cafes and a huge swimming pool without chlorine, filtered rather than an eco-friendly ‘O-zone’ non-chemical system filtering. Then there is the sauna, the library “good karma” and a well equipped games room. Sivalai Palace is highly recommended.
Those are my recommended budget hotels Bangkok style. Have a fantastic time and want to know if you find any other gems.
